Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range ofcommercial and regulatory matterswithin the FMCG context, with a focus onJapan and South Korea.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts across the APAC region.
- Act as a trusted business partner to regional functions includingSales, Marketing, and Supply Chainsupporting initiatives while managing legal and regulatory risks.
- Monitor changes in food-related regulations across key markets and proactively advise the business on implications and required actions.
- Work closely with external counsel to ensure robust legal guidance in jurisdictions with complex regulatory environments.
- Participate in the development and implementation oflegal policies, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance frameworks.
- Support regional expansion efforts with practical, business-minded legal input.
About You
- Legally qualified with810 years PQE, ideally with ablend of top-tier law firm and in-house experience, preferably within theFMCG or related consumer goods sector.
- Strong understanding ofcommercial contracts, food laws, and consumer protection regulations, particularly inJapan and South Korea.
- Able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and provide clear, strategic legal advice.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with the business, pre-empt legal risks, and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Korean and/or Japanese would be advantageous but not a must.
