Legal Counsel, APAC Employment – Financial Services MNC

About the Role

We are working with a global MNC seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to support its regional legal team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of employment and labour matters spanning the APAC region.

The position can be based in Australia or Singapore and is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with HR and business stakeholders in a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on employment and labour law matters across multiple APAC jurisdictions
• Support HR teams on employee relations, investigations, and workplace issues
• Review, draft, and update employment contracts, policies, and HR documentation
• Advice on contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Partner with regional stakeholders on strategic people and organisational initiatives
• Provide day-to-day legal support and risk management guidance

Requirements

• 5+ years post-qualification experience in employment law
• Experience gained in private practice and/or in-house environments
• Exposure to multi-jurisdictional or regional employment work required
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Practical, solutions-oriented, and commercially minded approach
