About The Role

This role reports into a Senior Legal Counsel and will support our Group-level activities.

You will focus primarily on supporting strategic transactions of the Group (debt financing, fundraising, M&A/JVs etc) and providing legal/regulatory advice and commercial contracts support to our various HQ functions and business units.

Join a close-knit legal team which is deeply involved in the high-impact and strategic initiatives of the Group. Our legal team recently clinched the Technology, Media and Telecommunications In-House Team of the Year at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely within the Group Legal function and in cross-functional teams involving Finance, Funding, HR, Tax and/or Compliance functions across the APAC region.
  • Supporting on major transactions, including debt financing, fundraising, M&As, joint ventures, key partnerships, etc.
  • Handling inter-company arrangements and internal reorganisation exercises.
  • Working closely with various HQ functions and business units on day-to-day issues concerning vendor engagements, employment, data privacy, regulatory compliance, investigations, disputes etc.
  • Working closely with the corporate secretarial team on corporate approvals, capital injections, business establishment, market entry etc.
  • Supporting initiatives relating to governance, policies, trainings, template development and process improvements within the Group.
  • Liaising effectively with external law firms and government agencies.
  • Providing legally-sound, practical and commercial advice in an efficient manner to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • Around 2-4 years of work experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, with at least 2 years of private practice experience handling Banking & Finance and/or M&A matters.
  • Strong contract review/drafting and project management skills, including managing due diligence and dataroom exercises, issues list discussions, all-parties negotiations, CP and closing checklists, and working on multi-jurisdictional deals.
  • Industry experience (or keen interest) in financial services, banking, payments, digital lending or fintech is a plus.
  • Admission to the Singapore bar is a plus.
