Parttime (2 days per week)

We are seeking a Legal Consultant to support Trade compliance matters in Singapore on a parttime basis (2 days per week). This role is suited to a junior to midlevel legal & compliance professional with experience across international and local trade compliance, and an interest in government relations and regulatory engagement.

The Role

You will support the daytoday management of compliance activities across Singapore and international markets, with a focus on traderelated regulatory issues and interaction with government and regulatory stakeholders. The role requires a pragmatic, detailoriented approach and the ability to coordinate across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with local Singapore regulations and relevant international trade requirements impacting the business.
  • Assist in monitoring regulatory developments related to trade, customs, import/export, and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Coordinate and support government and regulatory interactions, including preparation of responses, filings, and supporting materials.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to help implement compliance processes, policies, and controls.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, registers, and internal records.
  • Support internal awareness and training on compliance and traderelated topics.
  • Escalate regulatory or compliance issues appropriately and assist with remediation efforts as required.

About You

  • Mandarin Language skills required
  • 35 years experience in a compliance, regulatory, or legal support role, within Singapore.
  • Exposure to international and local trade compliance matters (for example import/export, customs, or regulatory licensing).
  • Some experience or interest in government relations or regulatory engagement.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a parttime capacity and collaborating with distributed teams.
