Overview
An established regional business is looking for a legal and compliance professional to support a broad mix of commercial, governance, and regulatory matters. This role offers exposure to contract work, compliance oversight, corporate governance, and interaction with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on day-to-day legal and compliance matters across the business
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements and internal documentation
Support regulatory, governance, and risk management initiatives
Assist with Board matters, resolutions, filings, and corporate records
Work with external counsel on selected legal and compliance issues
Help maintain internal policies, controls, and reporting processes
Support internal reviews, investigations, and other ad hoc projects
Requirements
Law degree or relevant professional training
Above 5 PQE with relevant experience in legal, compliance, governance, or related functions
In-house experience preferred, ideally within a regulated or structured corporate environment
Familiarity with commercial contracts, corporate governance, and compliance processes
Strong judgment, drafting skills, and attention to detail
Independent, discreet, and comfortable working across multiple priorities
