Role Description The Legal Associate will support the firm's litigation and advisory work through legal research, drafting, and case preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing case facts, preparing legal documents and correspondence, reviewing evidence, and assisting with court filings and hearings. The role also involves liaising with clients, opposing counsel, and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and timely updates. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility, depending on case and team needs. The Legal Associate will collaborate closely with partners and senior lawyers to deliver high-quality, client-focused legal solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of civil litigation, negligence, employment, or family law matters.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and legal correspondence.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess facts, interpret legislation and case law, and formulate clear legal opinions.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions, negotiations, and court-related work.
- Ability to identify, assess, and manage Legal Issues across diverse practice areas in a structured and practical manner.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent; admission to practice in Singapore, or eligibility for admission, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with a collaborative mindset and commitment to client-focused service.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment is advantageous but candidates with strong internships will be considered.
