I am partnering with a leading global medical technology company that is shaping the future of patient care across the Asia Pacific region. My client is seeking a strategic and business-focused Legal and Compliance Manager to provide trusted legal and compliance support across Southeast Asia and the ASEAN countries. The company is headquartered in Australia.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal and Compliance Manager

In this role, you will serve as a key partner to the business, offering clear and practical advice on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters. You will oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of various commercial agreements, including distributor, vendor, licensing, and clinical trial contracts. The position also supports significant regional initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic collaborations.

You will lead and strengthen compliance programs through effective policy implementation, training, and engagement with healthcare professionals and government stakeholders. Staying ahead of evolving legal requirements, particularly in areas such as data privacy, competition law, and fair trading regulations, will be essential.

Candidate Profile

The Legal and Compliance regional manager is a qualified lawyer with a minimum of eight years of post-qualification experience, including at least three years within the MedTech or Pharmaceutical sector. Strong regional experience in Southeast Asia is required. This role requires someone who is commercially astute, collaborative, and able to navigate complex, multicultural environments with integrity and sound judgment.
