[What you will be working on]

• Design and facilitate learning experiences for students in the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP), Pre-Employment Training (PET), and Continuing Education & Training (CET) through tutorials, innovative assessments that evaluate thinking processes, consultations, and project supervision.

• Design, develop, and review curriculum content, pedagogy, and assessments that develop transferable communication patterns rather than format-specific skills, ensuring relevance for evolving industry needs.

• Pioneer the thoughtful integration of Generative AI (GenAI) and other emerging digital technologies in the teaching and learning of Business Communication, helping students understand when human insight creates irreplaceable value.

• Create learning experiences that connect communication skills with analytical thinking, helping students see how clear reasoning supports effective communication and vice versa.

• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to co-create innovative and enterprising programmes and teaching initiatives that enhance learner engagement and real-world relevance.

• Plan and lead overseas immersion programmes that develop adaptive communication capabilities across cultural and professional contexts.

• Cater to the diverse learning needs of PET and CET students, using differentiated instruction strategies, inclusive practices, and adaptive classroom management techniques.

• Mentor and guide young learners in both academic and socio-emotional development, fostering resilience, critical thinking, and confidence.

• Keep pace with educational and industry developments through continuous upskilling and participation in professional and industry networks.

• Undertake administrative and committee duties as required by the school.

[What we are looking for]

• Relevant qualification in Communication Studies, Mass Communication, Marketing, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.

• Proven experience in one or more of the following domains: communication management, digital/corporate communication, content creation, communication research, or education.

• Demonstrated adaptability with digital tools and emerging technologies, including willingness to experiment with GenAI applications in education

• Familiarity with data visualisation, digital content creation, and media literacy to support the development of future-ready communication skills in students.

• Strong mentoring abilities to support the socio-emotional and academic growth of young learners, particularly those transitioning from secondary education.

• Ability to see connections between communication, analytical thinking, and emerging workplace practices - comfortable with complexity whilst able to explain concepts clearly.

• Experience or demonstrated interest in developing assessment methods that evaluate how students approach communication challenges and adapt their strategies, not just final outputs.

• A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for student development and inclusive education.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance teaching responsibilities with project and curriculum development work.
