We are seeking experienced educators or creative professionals to join us as part-time Lecturers in Design & Creative Practice. The role combines teaching of design history and theory with hands-on creative practice, guiding students through the creative process, from ideation and prototyping to final presentation, in preparation for undergraduate study.
Key Responsibilities
. Deliver engaging teaching in areas such as visual communication, design principles, and creative practice.
. Facilitate lectures and workshop/studio sessions, critiques, and tutorials, guiding students through the creative process from ideation to final presentation.
. Introduce key developments and practices in art and design, making them accessible to foundation-level learners.
. Provide structured critique, feedback, and mentoring to students in both group and individual settings.
. Contribute to the design of assessment tasks (e.g., projects, critiques, examinations) and evaluate student work in line with academic policies.
. Support students confidence, creative thinking, and visual literacy in an international learning environment.
. Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
. Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
. Teaching experience at pre-university, foundation, or undergraduate level is preferred.
. Professional portfolio of creative practice.
. Familiarity with both traditional studio methods and digital tools.
. Strong communication and mentoring skills, with sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds.
