Lecturer in Creative Computing & Visual Reasoning

We are seeking a part-time Lecturer in Creative Computing & Visual Reasoning to teach foundation-level students across digital literacy, applied numeracy, and creative problem-solving. This role is key in preparing students for progression into undergraduate programmes in design and related fields, by strengthening their computational skills, problem-solving ability, and visual reasoning.

Key Responsibilities

. Deliver engaging teaching combining applied computing, digital design tools, and visual reasoning.

. Facilitate workshops and tutorials on essential digital design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Adobe Suite, SketchUp) as well as foundational computing skills.

. Introduce numeracy and logic concepts relevant to visual and design contexts.

. Develop learning activities that build technical skills while encouraging creative application.

. Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback that supports academic progression.

. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with varied prior exposure to mathematics and digital tools.

. Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

. Bachelor's degree in Computing, Mathematics, Design Technology, or a related discipline.

. Prior teaching experience at foundation, pre-university, or undergraduate level in computing, numeracy, or design technology is preferred.

. Proficiency with creative digital tools and platforms.

. Ability to contextualize numeracy/problem-solving in applied and visual settings.

. Experience teaching international students is desirable.
