[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Entrepreneurship in the School of Business & Accountancy.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Curriculum Development: Design and update PET and CET learning materials on leveraging technology, analytics, and digital transformation, incorporating emerging trends and tools in Entrepreneurship.
- Teaching: Deliver courses that equip learners with practical skills in entrepreneurship, analytics, and AI-driven solutionsfrom ideation and validation to go-to-market and growth for full-time and part-time students and adult learners
- Assessment: Develop and evaluate assignments, projects, and examinations related to entrepreneurship and tech-enabled business models.
- Student Support: Provide consultations and mentoring to help learners apply technology and analytics effectively (e.g., market analysis, dashboards, experiment tracking).
- Committee Involvement: Contribute to curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives that advance our mission and industry relevance.
- Industry Engagement: Build partnerships with startups and venture capitalists to ensure programmes stay current, connected, and impactful (e.g., guest talks, capstone projects, incubation support).
- Undertake academic-related administration and committee work, support outreach activities and study trips, and ad-hoc projects that support the school's mission.
- Plan, lead, manage and develop industry projects.
[What we are looking for]
- At least 3 years running your own startup or holding a key role in a startup environment.
- Strong knowledge of local startup networks, funding opportunities, networking platforms and mentorship platforms.
- Demonstrate passion for leveraging technology to enhance entrepreneurial practice and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Ability to integrate AI, data-driven decision-making, and emerging tech tools into curriculum and learning activities.
- Exposure to consultancy or advisory work for entrepreneurial ventures is a plus.
- Skilled in designing and delivering entrepreneurship modules, with clear learning outcomes and applied projects.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and strong IT skills, including MS Office; familiarity with AI-driven business tools and collaboration platforms.
- Ability to anticipate industry shifts and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into learning programmes.
- Experience with business model design, lean startup, design thinking, growth analytics, or product management.
- Exposure to incubation/acceleration programmes, investor relations, or grant applications.
