Lecturer (Embedded Systems) / School of Engineering
What You Will Be Working On
- Design and deliver high-quality curriculum, courseware, and e-learning modules for full-time and part-time courses that are align with current industry standards and emerging trends in technology.
- Supervise student projects and internships in collaboration with industry partners, ensuring alignment with current technologies and practices.
- Provide academic and personal support to students through counselling, coaching, and mentoring, including guidance for competitions, career planning, and personal development.
- Participate in academic administration and committee work and contribute to outreach initiatives such as study trips and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and graduate employability.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field (postgraduate degree is an advantage).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with STM32 microcontrollers and ARM Cortex architecture.
- Proficiency in C/C++, embedded Linux, and RTOS environments.
- Strong knowledge of advanced communication protocols and IoT frameworks.
- Experience with HMI development tools and industrial automation systems (e.g., LabView).
- a) Embedded System Development: Firmware design for STM32 and ARM-based platforms, RTOS implementation.
- b) Advanced Communication Protocols: MQTT, OPC UA, CAN, Modbus, Ethernet/IP for industrial and IoT applications.
- c) Human-Machine Interface (HMI): Intuitive control and monitoring systems using modern frameworks.
- d) Control & Monitoring Systems: Sensor integration, actuator control, predictive maintenance, and fault-tolerant designs.
- e) IoT Applications: Architect IoT-enabled embedded systems, integrate cloud connectivity and edge computing.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
