The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering lectures and tutorials for Counselling and/or Psychology modules at diploma and higher diploma levels.
- Preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, assessment papers, and marking schemes.
- Conducting student assessments, grading assignments, and providing timely feedback.
- Facilitating learning through engaging classroom activities, case studies, and discussions.
- Participating in course review, curriculum enhancement, and academic quality processes.
- Guiding students in projects, applied learning tasks, and academic consultation hours.
- Ensuring teaching and assessment practices comply with SSG/EduTrust standards.
- Supporting student engagement activities, workshops, and academic events when required.
Job Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching, training, or counselling-related experience.
- Strong knowledge of counselling approaches, mental health concepts, and psychological theories.
- Excellent communication and classroom facilitation skills.
Preferred / Advantageous:
- Previous teaching experience in a Singapore PEI or higher education setting.
- Familiarity with SSG/EduTrust requirements and academic processes.
- Ability to teach multiple related modules (e.g., abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, counselling skills).
- Candidates with bilingual proficiency are preferred
