Leasing Manager (Retail)

A leading real estate organisation is seeking an experienced leasing professional to drive tenant acquisition, portfolio performance, and occupancy optimisation across its retail assets. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with retailers, property stakeholders, and asset management teams to enhance commercial performance and support long-term asset value creation.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and execute leasing plans to drive occupancy growth, strengthen rental performance, and achieve asset-level business objectives
• Curate and maintain an optimal tenant mix that enhances customer traffic, retail vibrancy, and overall asset positioning
• Identify prospective tenants, cultivate market relationships, and proactively secure new leasing opportunities
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with retailers, brokers, and industry contacts to strengthen market presence and leasing effectiveness
• Lead lease negotiations, structuring commercial terms that balance business objectives with market competitiveness
• Monitor tenant sales performance and business trends, providing recommendations to improve asset income and tenant retention
• Work closely with marketing and operations teams to support promotional campaigns, asset enhancement initiatives, and tenant engagement programmes
• Manage lease renewals, tenancy administration, and documentation processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency
• Prepare leasing reports, business cases, forecasts, and budgets to support management decision-making
• Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks within the retail landscape
• Ensure leasing activities are aligned with internal governance standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
• Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to capability development and overall team effectiveness

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• Degree in Real Estate, Business, Marketing, Property Management, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant leasing experience within the retail, commercial, or real estate sector
• Strong understanding of retail leasing dynamics, tenant mix strategies, and market trends within Singapore
• Experience managing lease negotiations, tenant relationships, and occupancy-driven initiatives
• Familiarity with property regulations, leasing documentation, and industry compliance requirements
• Professional accreditation within the real estate industry would be advantageous
• Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience preparing commercial reports and presentations
• Results-oriented, commercially astute, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
