Job Description
Our client is a leadership and organizational development consultancy that helps leaders and organizations create meaningful and sustainable change.
Its work goes beyond conventional classroom-based training. Programs may incorporate reflective practice, mindfulness-based approaches, experiential learning, facilitated dialogue and other methods that invite participants to develop greater self-awareness, strengthen relationships and explore new ways of leading.
They are seeking a Manager, Learning & Development to support the design, development, delivery and continuous improvement of these learning experiences.
This is a broad-based role combining learning design, program management, stakeholder engagement, digital learning and evaluation. It will suit an experienced L&D professional who is both a disciplined program manager and an open-minded learner—someone who is comfortable working with approaches that may be more reflective, experiential and human-centred than traditional corporate training.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and enhancement of leadership programs, curricula and multi-stage development journeys
- Translate learning objectives and stakeholder needs into practical, engaging and meaningful learning experiences
- Apply adult-learning principles and learning-design methodologies to program development
- Help integrate reflective, mindfulness-based and experiential elements into learning programs, working closely with facilitators and subject-matter experts
- Manage programs and coordinate facilitators, coaches, subject-matter experts, vendors and internal stakeholders
- Support delivery across classroom, virtual, digital, blended and experiential learning environments
- Contribute to the administration and enhancement of learning platforms and digital-learning solutions
- Explore new learning technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to enhance learner engagement and effectiveness
- Monitor program effectiveness through learner feedback, evaluation data, observation and reporting
- Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs and support broader leadership and organizational-development initiatives
- Continuously improve program quality and the overall learner experience
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, Education or a related field
- Experience managing learning programs, leadership-development initiatives or capability-building projects
- Hands-on exposure to program design, curriculum design, instructional design, learning-journey design or learning-system design
- Active involvement in the design, development and implementation of learning programs, even if you have not yet led the entire design process independently
- Experience working with facilitators, coaches, subject-matter experts, vendors and multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with LMS/LXP platforms, digital-learning solutions, learning technologies or blended-learning approaches
- Working knowledge of adult-learning principles and learning-design methodologies
- Strong project-management, analytical, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities
- The ability to combine thoughtful learning design with disciplined execution
- Intellectual curiosity and openness to mindfulness-based, reflective and experiential approaches to leadership development
- A willingness to participate in and learn through these approaches—not merely coordinate them from the sidelines
- Adaptability, emotional maturity and comfort working in an evolving, purpose-led environment
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, Business or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant certifications in learning design, instructional design, facilitation, coaching, learning technologies or talent development would be advantageous.
Prior experience with mindfulness or contemplative practices is not essential. However, candidates should be genuinely curious about these approaches and comfortable exploring how they can support leadership and organizational development.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an L&D professional who has developed a strong foundation in program delivery and learning design and is ready to take broader ownership of meaningful leadership-development experiences.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, facilitators, coaches and subject-matter experts across the full learning lifecycle—from initial concept and program development through delivery, digital learning, evaluation and continuous improvement.
The environment will suit someone who values both structure and exploration: a person who can manage details reliably while remaining receptive to new ideas, deeper inquiry and less conventional forms of learning.
