Learning Analyst I at the SIT Teaching and Learning Academy (STLA) at SIT, will support and oversee multiple research projects within the STLA research team which may include Institutional level research projects and externally funded projects. They will be expected to collect and analyses data for institutional and pedagogical research and present findings to internal stakeholders and collaborate with faculty or staff in reviewing literature, data collection, analysis and interpretation of educational research projects. Learning Analyst I will advise on research methodology / research direction given current trends and SIT strategic objectives and support on internal and external grant application writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, design and execute data collection and analyses approaches for institutional and pedagogical research projects, including literature reviews and advising on research methodology frameworks.
- Oversee and coordinate institutional research projects and ensure methodological and stakeholder alignment while ensuring timely progression.
- Interpret research findings and provide evidence-based recommendations to internal stakeholders contributing to discussions on educational strategy and research direction
- Design and facilitate face-to-face interviews and/or focus groups and stakeholder discussions to gather research data and align stakeholders around research objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience in project administration and research project management
- Demonstrated ability to advise on research methodologies and study direction
- Experience conducting or supporting research in a higher education environment (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research, including statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS)
- Strong data storytelling skills (e.g., translating insights into clear narratives and visuals)
- Experience managing or supporting commissioned research grants and projects
- Demonstrated interest in research related to adult learning
