Lead Technical Consultant - Error Handling, AI Ops & Automation

Location: Changi, Singapore

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Consultant to own the design, implementation and delivery of a banking technology workstream covering Generic Error Handling, Auto-Recovery & Dependencies (AI Ops), or Feature Flag Management.

You will serve as the technical authority for your assigned workstream, leading solution architecture, stakeholder engagement and implementation through production deployment and hypercare.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end solution design, development and implementation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical architectures.
• Design integrations with banking APIs, backend systems, cloud services and monitoring platforms.
• Conduct architecture and technical reviews to ensure enterprise-quality delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration and cloud issues.
• Develop reusable components, frameworks and implementation standards.

Client Engagement

• Facilitate requirements discussions and solution workshops with banking stakeholders.
• Provide technical recommendations and explain architectural decisions.
• Present solution designs, delivery updates and demonstrations.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment across teams.

Delivery Management

• Own workstream delivery against agreed scope, schedule and budget.
• Drive System Integration Testing (SIT), support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and coordinate go-live and hypercare.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, delivery issues and dependencies.
• Coordinate with other workstream leads to ensure successful integration.

Team Leadership

• Guide and mentor consultants and developers.
• Review implementation approaches and support complex problem-solving.
• Prepare technical documentation, runbooks and training materials.
• Deliver knowledge transfer to banking technology and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
• 9-12 years of relevant experience in software development, system integration or technical consulting.
• Proven experience leading complex technical solutions from design through production.
• Strong expertise in at least one of the following:Error handling: API design, error-handling frameworks, logging and observability.AI Ops: AI/ML platforms, automated incident response, recovery workflows, monitoring and alerting.Feature flags and automation: Feature flag management, code analysis, automated refactoring and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with containerisation or application platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes or PCF.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and technical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Ability to lead independently and deliver within demanding timelines.

Added Advantage

• Banking or financial-services technology experience.
• Familiarity with micro-frontends, APIs and enterprise backend systems.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or ELK.
• Knowledge of platforms such as AWS SageMaker or Azure ML.
• Strong DevOps and CI/CD automation experience.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, Kubernetes or ITIL certifications.
