Job Description

Dulwich College (Singapore) seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, and visionary swimming expert to lead this important part of College life from August 2026 in the role of Lead Swimming Teacher & Coach.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coaching and teaching swimming along with other aquatic sports to students at Dulwich College (Singapore). Delivering and coordinating high-quality swimming lessons in our learn-to-swim programme, whilst helping to coordinate the administration and coaching of our competitive swimming squads.

Dulwich College (Singapore) ensures that all students at the College have access to swimming and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring both the curricular and co-curricular programmes run smoothly. They will continue the development of a fun and stimulating swimming programme for all students at the College. They will work closely with the Director of Sport to ensure that swimming continues to move from Good to Great ensuring there are safe, coherent and well thought through pathways for all students to enjoy swimming and reach their desired goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To deliver the highest standard swimming lessons and swim coaching sessions for the students at Dulwich College (Singapore).
  • To ensure the swimming at the College continues to move from Good to Great.
  • To conduct swimming lessons and provide coaching to students across the College, from Learn-to-Swim to Competitive Squad swimmers.
  • To plan, perform and evaluate swimming programmes for the College, and ensure all sessions continue to improve the swimming ability for all the students being taught.
  • To work effectively in a cooperative team to help coordinate the Learn to Swim provision and competitive swim programme at DCSG.
  • To ensure the Learn to Swim provision is run safely and efficiently, following the latest swim teaching guidelines and best practice.
  • To organise the planning, and delivery of the junior extra-curricular swimming sessions, swimming team events, competitions, galas, weekend swimming sessions, and other swimming-related activities for our competitive squads.
  • To keep up to date with new swimming rules and regulations, and other professional swimming developments.
  • To conduct evaluations, assessments, reports on pupils progress.
  • To prepare swimming teams for participation in FOBISIA, ACSIS and other local and International Swim Meets, with specific responsibility for staying current with Team Manager.
  • To manage pool resources and liaise with the Head of Aquatics to ensure all safety measures are adhered to, including keeping up to date with relevant first aid and life guarding in swimming.
  • To ensure the pool area and pool resources are kept neat and tidy and offer a safe work environment.
  • To undertake all other duties that commensurate with the role.
