A Lead Software Engineer at RoviSys, you will work on exciting software projects, design and code custom software for clients wishing to automate sharing of information between process controls and higher-level systems, or to organize and report information for use in making business decision. You will work directly with clients to define functional requirements and design, configure, commission and qualify automation software or MES solutions. You will also mentor and lead teams of less experienced engineer/developers to provide state of the art software solutions to address technology decisions, data management, scalability, security and user interface design.
Description of work:
Design and implement industrial software solutions using the appropriate technologies, to aggregate manufacturing systems information
Consult with clients on digital transformation strategies within their facilities.
Design and implement different software solutions such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES), data historian.
Work on solutions leveraging commercial Software/MES platforms
Lead teams of engineers, developers to provide software solutions for clients
Provide technical sales support to RoviSys Business Development Team
Lead gap analysis and user requirement workshops
Analyse information and requirements, assist Solution Architect in architecting the software solution
Understand and adhere to ISO project execution methodology.
Mentor less-experienced engineers/developers
Onsite support during go-live stages
Success Factors:
Programming experience in an Object-oriented Language and Web Technologies
Ability to understand Information System architectures
Proven track record on managing small projects from start to finish
Experience in MES platforms such as ProLeiT,TrakSYS, Ignition (Sepasoft) is an advantage
Technologies Used:
Relational databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
Python, C++, C#
Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Platforms
Business Intelligence & Analytics Tool (PowerBI, Tableau, Qliksense, etc.)
Integration protocol (REST API, OPC, OLEDB, SECS/GEM)
Qualifications:
B.S in engineering, computer science or similar and/or relevant industrial experience.
2-4 years experiences in MES platforms and/or data historian applications with Pharmaceutical Manufacturing background
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, experienced in client facing environment
Experience in MES or data historian software design, requirement workshop, development cycle
Experience defining and implementing technical solutions as part of Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement initiatives.
Motivated self-starter, quick to adapt and work independently with minimal supervision.
Active and takes initiative to keep up to date with industry trends.
