Job Description

We are partnering with a top-tier financial institution to find a visionary SRE Lead who will fundamentally transform their End User Services (EUS) landscape. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on moving away from reactive IT operations toward a proactive, engineering-driven, and highly automated environment.

If you are passionate about eliminating manual toil, championing self-healing infrastructure, and defining the reliability standards for enterprise-scale workplace technology, we want to connect with you.

The Impact You Will Make:

  • Drive the SRE Vision: Architect and establish a comprehensive SRE operating model for workplace technologies, shifting the organization toward proactive, automated problem resolution.
  • Govern Reliability: Define, baseline, and operationalize Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets to guide prioritization and engineering decisions.
  • Engineer Out the Toil: Design and deploy advanced self-healing runbooks, scripting, and automation pipelines (leveraging Python, PowerShell, and IaC) to aggressively reduce manual intervention in device provisioning, patching, and ticketing workflows.
  • Advanced Observability: Build out comprehensive telemetry and monitoring dashboards using Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platforms, Microsoft Intune, and Graph API integrations to track true endpoint health.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Serve as the ultimate technical authority and escalation point for systemic reliability issues, leading root-cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent engineering fixes rather than temporary band-aids.
  • Mentorship & Culture: Lead, mentor, and upskill regional engineering teams, embedding reliability best practices into service design from day one.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Experience: 8 to 12 years of hands-on technical leadership in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform/Infrastructure Engineering, or Modern Workplace domains.
  • Automation Mindset: Exceptional scripting and orchestration skills (Python, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API) and solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  • Workplace Tech Mastery: Deep understanding of the modern Microsoft stack (M365, Intune, Windows 10/11, iOS) within cloud-native architectures.
  • SRE Tooling: Proven track record of leveraging DEX platforms (e.g., Nexthink, 1E, Lakeside) and integrating them with ITSM systems like ServiceNow.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong capability in capacity planning, defining reliability KPIs, and running blame-free postmortems.
  • Industry Context: Previous experience in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated environments is highly preferred (familiarity with MAS TRM or regional compliance is a distinct advantage).
  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT. Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365, Azure, Terraform, ITIL) are a strong plus.
