Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead our sales and market strategy across Asia. This is a senior, high impact leadership role with responsibility for driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding market presence and building longterm strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will synthesise complex market opportunities across diverse geographies and cultures, build alliances at the highest levels, and inspire highperforming regional teams. You will be motivated by the power of education and skills to create opportunity for individuals, enterprises, and nations, and will play a key role in shaping the success of Pearson's vocational qualifications and skills in Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy:



  • Own and shape the endtoend regional sales and market strategy for South Asia, with accountability for revenue growth, market expansion and longterm sustainability.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of skills and vocational education markets across the region, including regulatory, economic and competitive dynamics.
  • Analyse sales data, market trends and customer insight to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop ambitious long-range plans aligned to Pearson's global strategy, translating them into clear regional and country-level priorities.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and key metrics, providing insight and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.


Stakeholder Management:



  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customers, partners, regulators and government stakeholders across the region.
  • Establish strategic alliances that strengthen Pearson's market position and support longterm growth objectives.
  • Represent Pearson credibly and effectively with external stakeholders.


Commercial:



  • Deliver accurate and disciplined pipeline management, forecasting and commercial reporting across South Asia.
  • Lead complex, highvalue negotiations with enterprise, institutional and publicsector clients, balancing shortterm results with longterm partnership value.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets and performance updates to senior leadership, using datadriven insight to support decisionmaking.


Leadership:



  • Build, lead and inspire highperforming, geographically and culturally diverse sales teams.
  • Set clear sales objectives, coach and develop talent, and lead teams effectively through growth, change and market complexity.
  • Act as a collaborative member of the Pearson leadership community.


Qualifications:



  • Significant experience in senior sales leadership roles, ideally within education, vocational training or adjacent B2B/B2G environments.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering sustained revenue growth across diverse and emerging markets.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute regional sales and market strategies in complex organisations.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with experience managing forecasts, pipelines and large-scale deals.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at executive level.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with comfort working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
