Job Summary
We are looking for a Lead Research Engineer to design and deliver innovative smart manufacturing software, combining software architecture, AI/ML, and GenAI to optimize planning, scheduling, and inventory management, while leading development teams, driving the R&D technology roadmap, and translating research into enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor development teams building enterprise applications for production scheduling, operations planning, sourcing, and inventory analytics
- Define and implement solution architectures using .NET C#, Angular, and microservices-based platforms
- Set technical direction and ensure engineering excellence across teams.
- Integrate AI/ML, GenAI, and optimization techniques to enhance planning, scheduling, and inventory management
- Develop and maintain the R&D technology roadmap and establish standards for data management, interoperability, and real-time analytics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business and operational requirements, and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption
- Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and contribute to AI-powered applications that optimize resource allocation, supply chains, and production efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in software development and solution architecture, with proven expertise in .NET, C# and Angular
Strong track record in leading teams, mentoring, and driving technology roadmaps - Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, GenAI tools, and optimization algorithms in planning and scheduling.
- Familiarity with Industrial IoT, edge computing, DevOps/DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure architectures
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills, balancing innovation, feasibility, and business impact.

- Salary Range: S$6,000 - S$12,000
