Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced facilities professional to take end-to-end technical ownership of critical FAB facilities and environmental systems supporting manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary technical authority and point of accountability, ensuring system reliability, cleanroom integrity, tool stability, and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will provide oversight of in-house operations contractors and drive continuous improvement to support 24/7 fab operations.


Key Scope of Work & Responsibilities

1. Facilities Systems Ownership & Contractor Oversight

  • Act as the technical owner and single point of accountability for assigned FAB facilities and environmental systems.
  • Manage and oversee the performance of in-house operations contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and operational requirements.
  • Define, monitor, and enforce KPIs and SLAs related to system availability, performance efficiency, and environmental control parameters.
  • Ensure coordinated operation across interconnected facilities systems to maintain stable cleanroom and production environments.

2. Technical Governance & Performance Optimization

  • Oversee preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting activities carried out by contractors.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for system excursions or incidents impacting production stability or environmental conditions.
  • Review and approve system modifications, capacity enhancements, and retrofit works to ensure alignment with FAB standards and operational needs.

3. Compliance, Risk & Incident Management

  • Ensure all facilities systems comply with applicable environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements, as well as internal standards and guidelines.
  • Own emergency response and recovery procedures for system failures, coordinating rapid restoration to minimize production impact.
  • Serve as the technical liaison for internal audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements, validating documentation and operating procedures.

4. Continuous Improvement & Sustainability

  • Support planning and control of operating and capital expenditures related to facilities systems.
  • Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and resource optimization initiatives without compromising system reliability.
  • Leverage facilities monitoring systems and data analytics to identify trends, predict failures, and implement performance improvements.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience supporting facilities systems in a semiconductor or high-technology manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience working with or overseeing technical service providers or in-house operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of cleanroom operations, environmental control principles, and facilities system integration.
  • Good knowledge of EHS requirements, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with procurement/tender processes and project management skills.
  • Independent, possess good team spirit, and willingness to learn and take on more responsibilities as needed
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
