My client an education institution is looking for a lead consultant (Assistant Director equivalent) to manage the enterprise / corporate applications like Finance, Legal, Library systems as well as mobile applications. A more experienced candidate can be considered for the role of principal consultant.
This position leads a few applications services teams and leads team members in planning, managing, implementing and maintaining the relevant services.
The candidate must possess the capability to make breakthroughs in design, development, testing, debugging, and implementing software applications or specialised utility programs in support of end users needs on platforms.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform planning, organisation, monitoring and control of all aspects of an IT programme and the strategic utilisation of resources to achieve the objectives within the agreed timelines, costs, and performance expectations. In addition, the identification, coordination, and management of project interdependencies, ensuring alignment with and achievement of business objectives
- Oversee IT Operations & Support related to relevant Application Services
- Manage project delivery to meet project scope, schedule and cost expectations and goals
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks
- Manages internal resources, third parties or vendors for the successful execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
- Plan and conduct IT Planning & Budgeting in conjunction with the respective divisions
- Manages vendors, and outsourcing contracts
- Coach, train and manage the team
- Able to work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions
- Hold regular status update meetings with the team
- Work with stakeholders to gain alignment for implementation and post-implementation stages.
Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information/Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or related discipline
- At least 15 years of application development and operation maintenance experience with at least 8 years in leadership and management position
- Good communication and management skills particularly in project management, change management and vendor management
- Experience in ERP solution such as either SAP RISE, Oracle Campus solution or Salesforce Cloud is essential
- Knowledge and experience in C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, MVC 4/5, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, XML, system configuration, web services
- Knowledge and experience in IIS Server, Visual Studio 2016/2019 and MS SQL Server T-SQL.
- Relevant experience in Outsystems, .NET Core, Sharepoint, Payment Gateway, and Mobile Platform is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details. Ability to identify issues and provide efficient and effective solutions.
