Position Overview
We are looking for a Lead IoT Engineer to spearhead the end-to-end development of our IoT products. This role covers hardware, firmware, and software integration, with a strong focus on product lifecycle management. You will lead a small team of engineers, work closely with clients, and collaborate across product, operations, and manufacturing teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of IoT solutions, covering hardware, firmware, and software.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping to pilot and production.
- Provide technical leadership for a small team engineers, including mentoring, task allocation, and design/code reviews.
- Engage directly with clients for requirement gathering, solution presentations, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee project management activities: timelines, documentation, andrisktracking.
- Collaborate with product managers, operations, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
Technical Skills
- Hardware: PCB design, electronics fundamentals, sensors, microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32), industrial protocols (Modbus, CAN, RS485).
- Firmware: C/C++ for MCUs, RTOS, Linux device drivers, low-level debugging.
- Software: Python, Node.js (or similar) for middleware cloud integration (AWS/Azure) containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Networking: TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP/REST APIs, and security protocols.
- Tools: Altium/KiCad, Git, Jira, CI/CD pipelines.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (EE/EEE), or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IoT, embedded systems, or related product development.
- Prior team leadership and product development experience preferred.
- Background in semiconductors, industrial IoT, or automation industries preferred.
