Position Summary:

The Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales leads to support the commercial team in the Asia Pacific region.

The Lead Generation Specialist will identify and develop new business prospects through a variety of channels, perform lead qualification and creation ofhigh-qualityleads which make their way into the sales funnel. This includes engagement with new and existing customers and coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions.

Success in this role requires a highly motivated individual who is dedicated to driving results.You will be working in afast paced and multinational team where you will be speaking with customers to understand their projects and plans and explore how Illumina's market leading technology can really help in their lab.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads and manage Lead to Opportunity process.
  • Design, plan and execute targeted prospecting campaigns to generate new leads.
  • Initiate outbound contact with existing and prospective customers to identify sales opportunities and promote relevant promotional programs
  • Review grant abstracts, create and update business prospect lists, link leads to relevant grants, and ensure grant information is current.
  • Develop new leads through telephone outreach and mass communication channels such as email and social media.
  • Go beyond basic prospect qualifications and develop unique execution strategies to increase engagement.
  • Collaborate directly with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Execute on and provide regular reports on results of lead generation projects and activities.
  • Enhance and maintain accurate lead data and record keeping within the CRM system.

Position Requirements:

  • At least two years of sales or customer-facing experience, with a demonstrated ability to understand Illumina's technology, products, and markets.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Korean and English is a must. Additional spoken language mastery will be advantageous.
  • Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customer personality types.
  • Strong ability to identify customer needs, obstacles to the sales process and solutions using Illumina products & services.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience working with SalesForce.com or a similar CRM database a plus.
  • Teamgoal orientedwith a focus on achieving team sales performance metrics.
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to stay focused on primary business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor's science degree or equivalent required
  • Molecular biology degree a plus.
