Lead Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Lead Engineer. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of our platform, which includes designing system architecture, writing and reviewing code, and ensuring product quality. Day-to-day tasks include working directly with the CEO on product development, potentially managing a team of developers and/or engineers, and troubleshooting technical issues. The Lead Engineer will also focus on scalability, performance, and security of our platform.

• Frontend: Next.js 15 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4
• Backend: Next.js API routes, MongoDB, server actions
• Infrastructure: Vercel, QStash (async processing), Bun package manager

• Troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Performance optimization
• New feature development

• Experience with Next.js/TypeScript/React development
• Production experience with Next.js, MongoDB, payment systems
• Webhook architecture and async job processing
• API integration and error handling patterns
• Modern testing practices (Jest, E2E testing)

Bachelor&aposs Degree in Computer Science is preferred but not required.
