Key Responsibilities

1. Cybersecurity Systems Maintenance

   • Monitor, maintain and manage cybersecurity solutions, including firewalls, endpoint protection, antivirus software, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).

   • Ensure the availability, performance and effectiveness of security infrastructure.

2. Security Incident Response

   • Identify, investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.

   • Perform initial troubleshooting, incident documentation and follow-up actions.

   • Coordinate with technology vendors for technical escalation and resolution when required.

3. Vulnerability and Patch Management

   • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks.

   • Coordinate and implement patch management activities to ensure systems remain secure and up to date.

4. Security Audits and Compliance

   • Support internal and external security audits by preparing relevant logs, reports and documentation.

   • Ensure cybersecurity operations comply with established security policies, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

   • Work closely with IT operations teams, network engineers and relevant stakeholders to implement and maintain effective security measures.

   • Provide technical guidance and support to ensure smooth cybersecurity operations.

6. Documentation and Reporting

   • Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures, incidents, configurations and operational activities.

   • Prepare reports on the overall cybersecurity environment and highlight potential areas for improvement.

7. Team Leadership and Operational Support

   • Lead and guide a team of engineers in delivering Day 1 and Day 2 cybersecurity operations.

   • Ensure operational tasks, service delivery and security objectives are met effectively.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity maintenance, IT security operations or a similar role.

• Strong technical expertise in one or more of the following cybersecurity domains:

  • Endpoint Protection

  • Network Security

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Professional certifications such as CISSP or other recognised cybersecurity-related certifications will be an advantage.

• Experience or knowledge in Container Security and Key Management will be an added advantage.

• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven ability to lead and guide a team of engineers in delivering Day 1 and Day 2 operational functions.
