Lead Commercial Counsel, Technology

Our client is a leading international business is seeking a commercially minded senior lawyer to join its regional legal leadership team.

This is a highly visible role supporting one of the organisation's most important business functions, partnering closely with senior commercial stakeholders on strategic initiatives, complex negotiations, business growth opportunities, and day-to-day legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.

The position offers the opportunity to move beyond pure legal advisory work and become a genuine business partner, helping shape commercial strategy while balancing risk and growth objectives in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities of this Lead Commercial Counsel, Technology:

• Partner with senior business leaders on strategic and commercial initiatives.
• Lead negotiations for complex commercial agreements and strategic partnerships.
• Advise on a broad range of legal, operational and business matters across the region.
• Provide pragmatic, solutions-focused legal guidance to support business objectives.
• Manage disputes and sensitive commercial matters where required.
• Drive legal process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Mentor and develop junior legal team members while contributing to the wider legal function's growth and success.

Requirementsof this Lead Commercial Counsel, Technology:

• Qualified lawyer with substantial post-qualification experience gained in private practice and/or in-house.
• Strong background in commercial contracting, negotiations and business partnering.
• Experience working with regional or international stakeholders.
• Ability to operate autonomously and influence senior decision-makers.
• Commercially astute with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach.
• Prior exposure to technology, digital, consumer, hospitality, travel, marketplace, or high-growth businesses would be advantageous but not essential.
