Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Regional Ownership

Lead and manage the regional AppMod team across multiple countries, providing technical direction, mentorship, and governance.

Act as the overall owner for critical AppMod engagements, ensuring delivery quality, risk management, and customer satisfaction.

Establish best practices, architecture standards, and delivery frameworks for the AppMod practice.

Pre-Sales & Solution Leadership

Drive pre-sales activities, including solution shaping, architecture design, and technical proposal development.

Translate complex business requirements into scalable, modern application architectures that can be seamlessly handed over to delivery teams.

Engage senior client stakeholders to articulate solution value, trade-offs, and delivery approach during both pre- and post-sales phases.

Delivery & Governance

Work closely with Project Managers, Principal Architects, and Delivery Leads to ensure projects adhere to timelines, scope, and architectural intent.

Provide hands-on oversight for high-risk or strategic projects, intervening when necessary to ensure successful outcomes.

Ensure architectural decisions remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting designs as needed without compromising delivery.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in application architecture, solution design, and delivery of complex enterprise systems, with a strong foundation in J2EE / Java-based ecosystems.
• Proven experience leading application modernisation initiatives, including monolith-to-microservices transformation.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and cloud-native application design.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-country, cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects in regulated or high-complexity environments.
• Familiar with enterprise application servers (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere) and middleware (Middleware: ESB, messaging/queue technologies)
• Solid understanding of databases across both relational and non-relational systems: MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB
• Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of:

1. Cloud-native architectures & Microservices: Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Container Registry

2. Event-driven architecture: JMS, Kafka, Confluent

3. API Management: Kong, Apigee
