Laundry Assistant - St. Andrew's Nursing Home (Tampines North)

Job Summary

Perform the day-to-day laundry needs of the Nursing Home to assure that resident's clothese and linens are clean, fresh and comfortable. Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room, washers and dryers, and all other equipment used on a daily basis.

Job Scope

1) Perform daily laundry tasks as assigned using established procedures and standards to include:

, :

- Pick up soiled laundry from wards as scheduled

- Wash, dry and fold laundry as specified

,

- Deliver clean laundry to the wards as scheduled

- Simple sewing tasks to mend laundry, such as replacing missing buttons or repairing minor tears in clothing

2) Clean washers and dryers between each load

3) Clean and maintain storage areas

4) Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment

,

5) Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the supervisor

6) Assure equipment are properly cleaned and stored at the end of the shift

7) Any other related duties and responsibilities as specified by the supervisor.
