Job Summary
The Centre Executive has the primary role of managing the day-to-day operation of the Active Ageing Centre which includes the provision of active ageing programmes and activities, managing the alert alarm system, information and service linkage, and befriending or buddying for the elderly. The Centre Executive is expected to be proficient in various dialects so that he or she can interact effectively with the elderly and their caregivers.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan, coordinate, and organise active ageing programmes.
2. Manage the day-to-day operations and facility maintenance of the centre.
3. Provide relevant and accurate information and referrals to the seniors and community partners
4. Manage the Alert Alarm System (AAS) during centre operating hours.
5. Manage the Befriending and Buddying programmes in the centre.
6. Manage the Engagement service including the assessment services (i.e. Community Screener) assigned by MOH
7. Manage case documentation, home visit logs, and case statistics in timely and effective manner that complies with regulatory reporting standard.
8. Participate in case reviews, case supervisions, and case conferences.
9. Participate in the care network and coordination with stakeholders within centre's service boundaries.
10. Supervise the operation of Social Enterprise services such as a thrift store (Something Old Something New) whenever applicable.
11. Organize and coordinate special events (i.e. community outreach), open house, talks and workshops.
12. Recruit, train and manage volunteers
13. Develop relationship and collaborate with community care organization such as schools, grassroots and other community-based organizations.
14. General administrative duties and other duties assigned by the Centre Supervisor.
