LAND SURVEYOR

Key Responsibilities

• Measuring land and boundaries: Use specialized tools (GPS, total stations, drones) to determine precise land dimensions.
• Preparing maps and reports: Create detailed plans, charts, and legal descriptions of land areas.
• Researching land records: Review historical maps, deeds, and legal documents to verify property lines.
• Supporting construction projects: Provide data and layout guidance for engineers, architects, and builders.
• Ensuring compliance: Follow local laws, regulations, and surveying standards.
• Marking sites: Physically place markers or stakes to indicate boundaries or construction reference points.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mathematics and geometry
• Proficiency with surveying technology and software (e.g., GIS, CAD)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
• Communication skills for working with clients and teams

Education & Requirements

• Diploma or degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.

Work Environment

• Combination of fieldwork (outdoors on sites) and office work (data analysis and reporting)
