Laboratory Assistant

Company Description One Science Pte. Ltd. is a startup that operates an innovative online marketplace providing high-quality laboratory supplies for scientists, researchers, and businesses. Laboratory Operations and Research Deployment (LORD) is a service by One Science that assists laboratories by deploying scientists or laboratory technicians to ensure experiments are completed in a timely manner.

Role Description The Laboratory Assistant is a part-time role based in Singapore with a on-site work arrangement providing laboratory support. In this role, the Laboratory Assistant will assist with handling and organizing laboratory supplies, preparing basic materials, and supporting quality control checks to ensure products meet required standards. The position involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording data accurately, and reporting any issues or discrepancies. The Laboratory Assistant will have to perform histopathology work.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including basic laboratory techniques and familiarity with laboratory procedures.
• Candidates should possess experience working with laboratory equipment and the ability to perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
• Candidates should possess experience in Histology work
• Candidates should possess analytical skills for interpreting data, troubleshooting issues, and supporting product evaluations.
• Candidates should possess communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and document findings clearly.
• Relevant diploma or degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology, biomedical science) is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines, work accurately, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a laboratory, research, or scientific supply environment is an advantage.
