This advertisement is recruiting for the position of Laboratory Assistant cum Teacher Aide.
If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE primary school located in Yishun.
Contract Period: from 01 January 2026 to 31 December 2026.
Option to Extend: for a further period one yearfrom 01 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours :
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
The services required are set out as the follows:
Science Laboratory Duties:
- Monitor and manage stock-taking of equipment and Science resource materials.
- Purchase and prepare lab materials/resources to ensure experiment is carried out effectively.
- Maintain a catalogue of lab resources to assist teachers in planning their activities.
- Purchase posters and furniture to enhance lab's appearance and functionality
- Assist teachers when experiment is carried out.
- Keep a log on loaning and returning of apparatus.
- Assist in the preparation of apparatus and equipment for lessons.
- Maintain general cleanliness and functionality of equipment.
- Assist in Science enrichment and competitions, if needed.
Special Rooms Duties:
- Check special rooms to ensure the rooms are in order
- Ensure the special rooms are safe for the students
Other administrative duties:
- Photocopy and collate learning worksheets for P1 to P6 classes.
- Collate and prepare materials for learning activities and examination
- Assist teachers with other ad hoc duties.
- Accompany teachers on learning journeys (if required).
- Provide administrative support to the General Office as and when required.
- Any other duties as assigned by the school.
Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- At least GCE O level.
- At least 2 years of experience in related fields.
- Possesses good communication skills to liaise with teachers, students and other stakeholders.
- Meticulous and detailed in carrying out tasks.
