Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced L3 / SME Production Support Engineer with strong expertise in AS400 systems, Workday, and payment processing support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling critical production issues, root cause analysis, and ensuring system stability in a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L3 production support for business-critical applications on AS400 and Workday platforms
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for resolving payment-related issues and failures
  • Monitor production systems and ensure high availability and performance
  • Handle incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Collaborate with L1/L2 support, development, and business teams for issue resolution
  • Support batch jobs, job scheduling, and system integrations on AS400
  • Work on data fixes, reconciliation, and validation for payment transactions
  • Participate in on-call support and escalation handling
  • Prepare incident reports, RCA documents, and knowledge base articles

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in AS400 production support
  • Hands-on experience with Workday support (Finance / Payroll / Integrations preferred)
  • Experience in handling payment systems / transaction processing issues
  • Expertise in incident management, problem management, and RCA
  • Knowledge of job scheduling, batch processing, and system monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with SQL / data analysis for troubleshooting
  • Experience in ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
  • Understanding of ITIL processes

Good to Have:

Experience in banking / financial services domain

Exposure to integration tools or middleware systems
