Job Description

Role: L3 Oracle DBA

Location: Singapore

Experience:Minimum of 10 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust database administration solutions, including:
  • Resource management, security, backup and recovery strategies
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
  • Data management and capacity planning
  • Multi-threading and parallelism techniques
  • Failover planning and implementation between database instances
  • Provide architectural oversight for new implementations, environment changes, and client- or audit-driven recommendations.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives across design, development, and deployment stages.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation to support architectural and operational processes.
  • Share domain knowledge and provide technical mentorship and cross-training to team members.
  • Collaborate with development teams on complex query tuning and schema optimization.
  • Participate in new implementation projects, including preparing pre-implementation plans for both internal and external rollouts.
  • Independently analyze and resolve real-time production issues, ensuring end-to-end problem resolution.
  • Apply effective data modeling techniques to ensure solutions meet integration, scalability, and performance benchmarks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Database Administrator with a strong foundation in Oracle and at least one additional RDBMS.
  • Proven experience in installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Linux (RedHat, Fedora, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
  • Hands-on experience in database development, including writing functions, stored procedures, triggers, and other database programming constructs.
  • Must have working experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
  • Strong expertise in performance tuning and optimization for high-volume database applications.
  • In-depth architectural knowledge of Oracle database engines.
  • Solid understanding of backup and restore processes, recovery models, clustering, database mirroring, and replication strategies.
  • Ability to proactively identify and troubleshoot Oracle Server-related resource issues (CPU, memory, I/O, disk space).
  • Exposure to OLAP modeling, star schemas, and large-scale data warehousing is a plus.
