Job Description

Job Summary

Join our Client's team as an L2 Application Operations Engineer, where you'll ensure seamless production stability, drive continuous improvement, and deliver high-quality application support in a dynamic banking environment.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a production support, infrastructure support, or software development role;
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in UNIX environments and with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as Ansible, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker, or Kubernetes;
  • Experience using task schedulers such as Control-M;
  • Good understanding of IT ecosystems and application architectures, knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ITIL, Agile, and Lean practices.

Desired Skill-set

  • Experience in a banking environment is a plus;
  • Experience in observability tools like Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Must ensure SLAs and priorities are met, respond appropriately to incidents or escalations;
  • Follow Client's processes for service requests, changes, incidents, and problem management, manage technical issues and escalations;
  • Provide primary operational support to functional teams, and collaborate effectively across ITS and BLI teams;
  • Must propose improvements and solutions to reduce repetitive tasks, enhance complex operations, increase system reliability and quality through automation and monitoring;
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to reduce time-to-market, standardize workflows, and bridge the gap between development and operations teams;
  • Must be curious about new technologies, share knowledge, drive complex operations, coordinate major events, and review release roadmaps;
  • Rotational shifts across Morning (7am4pm), Afternoon (2pm11pm), and Evening (5pm2am), with 7-day on-call support during non-business hours, including weekends.
