L1 Network Ops Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor network health, device availability, and link utilization.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, and connectivity issues.
• Log and manage incidents in ITSM tools and escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3.
• Configure and troubleshoot Aruba/Cisco switches, including VLANs, ports, MAC/ARP, Dot1x, and PoE.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Check Point firewalls and A10 load balancers.
• Support device installation, rack and stack, cabling, hardware replacement, and on-site activities.
• Execute approved changes, configuration backups, health checks, and network documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in network operations or a NOC environment.
• Hands-on exposure to Aruba and/or Cisco switches.
• Working knowledge of Check Point firewalls and basic understanding of A10 load balancers or similar ADC platforms.
• Good understanding of OSI/TCP-IP, VLANs, Dot1x, STP, subnetting, routing, DHCP, DNS, and NAT.
• Familiarity with ping, traceroute, Wireshark, and ITSM ticketing tools.
• CCNA, ACSA, CCSA, or ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work rotational shifts, weekends, and on-call as required.
