We're seeking an experienced
L1/L2 IT Support Engineer to support the setup and ongoing operations of a new office. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, providing onsite smart hands support, and coordinating with external partners responsible for implementation work.
The position involves hands-on technical setup and close collaboration with procurement, engineering teams, and project stakeholders. Some weekend work may be required depending on project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Onsite Technical Support
- Act as the on-site smart hands representative during workplace and network setup.
- Support implementation teams with equipment installation, internal network preparation, and testing.
- Unbox, configure, and deploy enduser devices (laptops, peripherals, printers).
- Support procurement activities related to IT equipment.
- Coordinate with engineering teams on major updates and configurations.
Workplace Technology
- Set up and troubleshoot Windows 11 laptops.
- Configure and maintain local printers and basic Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Provide general enduser support for hardware and software issues.
- Assist with office readiness for golive, including device deployment and testing.
Network Support
- Provide basic network troubleshooting of Wi-Fi in a satellite office environment.
- Conduct basic network checks and escalate issues to external or internal specialists as needed.
Project Support
- Support the smooth handover from project implementation to BAU operations.
- Provide onsite coverage during key project milestones, which may occasionally require weekend work.
- Contribute to documenting processes, setup steps, and configurations.
Requirements
Experience
- 58 years of hands-on workplace and/or network support experience.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience supporting small office setups or new office launches is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with Windows 11 setup and troubleshooting.
- Experience setting up laptops, local/home-style Wi-Fi, and standalone printers.
- Solid understanding of basic network concepts (L1/L2 level).
Other Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work with procurement teams and external vendors.
- Willingness to support occasional weekend work when required.
