A Regional Private Bank in Singapore is looking to appoint a KYC & Client Onboarding Specialist to support the Wealth Management business in areas relating to client onboarding, KYC reviews and regulatory compliance.
The role involves reviewing new account onboarding, conducting periodic KYC reviews and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to AML/CFT regulations and internal policies, including relevant regulatory requirements in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve new client onboarding and periodic KYC reviews, ensuring completeness and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure front office adherence to AML, KYC and client due diligence (CDD) standards in accordance with internal policies and regulatory expectation.
- Assist in regulatory gap analysis and policy review, including consultation papers and regulatory updates issued by MAS and HKMA
- Support internal, external and regulatory audits, including documentation review and follow-up actions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Risk, Compliance and business teams to investigate potential AML/CFT issues and support regulatory training initiatives
Requirements
- Experience in KYC, client onboarding or AML compliance within banking or wealth management
- Good understanding of AML/CFT frameworks and client due diligence requirements
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks including Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is required as the role involves interaction with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
