About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our kitchen team. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy kopitiam environment, learning both kitchen preparation and cooking techniques for local zichar dishes. You will work closely with our cooks and kitchen staff to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily kitchen prep work (washing, cutting, marinating, portioning ingredients).
- Support the cooking process for a variety of local zichar dishes under supervision.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization of the kitchen.
- Assist in stock-taking, replenishment, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Current student or recent graduate in Culinary, Hospitality, or F&B-related field (other applicants with interest in F&B are also welcome).
- Keen interest in learning local zichar cooking methods and working in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good teamwork.
