Job Summary
You will support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, setting up workstations, managing stock with FEFO standards, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with stock takes to ensure smooth daily food production.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, peeling vegetables, and cutting meat to support cooking processes
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment before food preparation
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards to ensure a safe food preparation environment
- Manage kitchen stock daily to control food costs and ensure availability for operations
- Monitor and rotate kitchen stock using FEFO (first expired, first out) to maintain freshness
- Assist in conducting month-end stock take to verify inventory accuracy
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the company to support kitchen operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to work split shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to meet operational needs
