Job Title: Kitchen Assistant
Contract Period: 2 January 2026 to 30 October 2026
Working Hours
- Mondays to Wednesdays: 8:30am to 12:45pm
- Rest Days: Services not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays, and mid-year school holidays.
Scope of Work
The personnel will be required to perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Set up workstations before classes and ensure kitchen surfaces and equipment are cleaned and sanitised.
- Organise and stock ingredients and supplies to support lesson requirements.
- Assist students with basic food preparation techniques and reinforce food safety and hygiene practices.
- Provide support to teachers during lessons and practical activities.
- Maintain kitchen appliances and tools, report malfunctions, and assist with inventory of kitchen equipment and supplies.
- Store ingredients and leftovers properly, monitor expiration dates and food quality, and support stock rotation.
- Manage proper disposal of food waste, including recycling and composting efforts.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications And Skills
The personnel should preferably possess:
- Completed PSLE.
- Previous experience working in a classroom kitchen environment.
- Ability to multitask efficiently with a willingness to learn and maintain a positive, motivated attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
