Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

• Prepare basic food items including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting of raw ingredients
• Portion and pack cooked food and pack meals according to standards
• Assist with preparation and packing of tea break items and beverages
• Conduct pre-cooking checks, prepare raw materials for upcoming meals, and ensure proper labelling and FIFO storage
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and surrounding areas, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
• Handle kitchen equipment properly and adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene SOPs
• Demonstrate a growth mindset by being open to learning, improving work processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Willing to learn, hardworking, responsible, and disciplined with a growth mindset
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Physically fit to carry loads of at least 10 kg and able to stand for long hours (up to 8 hours)
