Job Summary: The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for supporting the kitchen staff by performing various tasks to ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen. This role is essential to maintaining a hygienic and well-functioning kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
. Wash and sanitize cutlery, crockery, trays, and cups to maintain hygiene standards.
. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including pots, pans, and utensils.
. Vacuum, sweep, and mop kitchen floors to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
. Dust and wipe kitchen tables and surfaces to maintain a tidy workspace.
. Clear rubbish bins and dispose of waste in a sanitary manner.
. Perform housekeeping duties in the kitchen and dining areas as needed.
. Wash toilets (if required) to maintain hygiene standards in all areas.
. Assist with the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen.
. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
. Perform any additional tasks as requested by clients or kitchen management.
Qualifications:
. Previous experience in a kitchen assistant or similar role is preferred but not required.
. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
. Team player with good communication skills.
. Additional allowance will be given for WSQ Basic Food certifications
