Job role: Insurance Broker (Key Accounts) - Open to Fresh Graduates

Howden is a specialist commercial insurance broker. Its regional footprint covers Singapore (regional headquarters), Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, and Philippines. It is part of the London-headquartered Howden Broking Group, a leading independent, global broker with offices in over 55 countries worldwide.

We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient insurance broker to support the management of large corporate MNC clients. This role involves contributing to renewal reviews, insurance placement, and advisory services in close consultation with director and team head. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong market knowledge, client servicing capabilities, and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality insurance solutions.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To support the client servicing team in both administrative and brokingrelated tasks, including billing, client communication, policy servicing, renewal preparation, and insurer followups. This hybrid role ensures smooth endtoend execution of renewal and post-renewal activities while maintaining accurate documentation and timely delivery to clients.

Client & Insurer Communication

  • Send policy documents, endorsements, debit/credit notes, invoices, and cover letters directly to clients.
  • Handle routine client communication related to renewal as well as postrenewal deliverables and outstanding information.
  • Follow up with insurers for policy documents, endorsements, COIs, and other required materials.

Billing & Payment Support

  • Prepare and process debit/credit notes based on broker instructions.
  • Maintain accurate billing and policy data within the systems.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and conduct basic creditcontrol followups with clients.

Renewal & PreRenewal Support

  • Prepare prerenewal worksheets and assist with simple policy and terms comparison.
  • Support preparation of quotations, proposals, cover confirmations, and other renewal documents.

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Manage efiling, scanning, archiving, and general document housekeeping.
  • Update and maintain client information, policy records, and workflow trackers.
  • Support adhoc requests, reporting, and administrative tasks as assigned by the team head.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with a Diploma, or Degree qualifications are welcome, especially those from banking & finance, business administration, accountancy, actuarial science, financial services, or insurancerelated programs.
  • Candidates exploring a midcareer switch with an interest in insurance operations and client servicing are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong attention to detail, with good analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, selfmotivated, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members across different levels.
  • An understanding of general insurance products and market practices will be advantageous, but not mandatory.
