Key Account Manager (FMCG)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic modern trade and general trade accounts within the FMCG sector. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and executing joint business plans to achieve sustainable market share expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned key retail / distributor accounts across modern and general trade channels
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBP) aligned with company commercial strategy
- Own sell-in, sell-out, and P&L performance for key accounts
- Lead price negotiations, trade terms, promotions, and annual agreements
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Demand Planning to ensure flawless execution
- Drive distribution, assortment, shelf visibility, and promotional effectiveness
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities
- Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and demand planning
- Build strong long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
- 38 years of Key Account / Sales experience within FMCG
- Strong exposure to Modern Trade / Key Accounts / Distributors
- Proven track record in commercial negotiations and account growth
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Results-driven, commercially sharp, and highly collaborative
