You will be instrumental in designing and developing a modern KDB-based platform.
You'll create scalable data systems and APIs that empower quantitative researchers and trading teams to analyze data, generate signals, and execute strategies.
Collaboration with electronic trading, quantitative research, and trading stakeholders is central to this role.
Design and implement scalable KDB systems to manage real-time and historical data, including market data, risk, pricing, and analytics
Work closely with trading and quantitative teams to gather requirements and build data-driven solutions for derivatives strategies and performance analysis
Develop innovative software solutions and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Serve as a subject matter expert for KDB applications supporting systematic trading
Write secure, efficient, and production-ready code; review and debug code from peers
Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve system stability
Collaborate with support teams to ensure platform reliability and performance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with KDB/Q
Strong understanding of KDB+ tick architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning
Experience handling large-scale datasets and building high-availability KDB systems
Proven experience working with quantitative, algorithmic, or trading teams
Solid background in system design, development, testing, and production support
Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and agile development practices
Strong understanding of application resilience, scalability, and security
Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes in cloud environments
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Familiarity with using LLMs in search or analytics workflows, including prompt engineering
Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java
Understanding of market data systems and vendor platforms
