EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Professional certifications in CCNA, CCNP or ITIL v3 Foundation would be advantageous.
- Relevant working experience in designing, deploying and managing enterprise level ICT infrastructure for network services (wired and wireless).
- Good technical knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, SDN, etc) as primary practice area, with knowledge in supporting technologies such as infrastructure security.
- Proactive and dedicated individual with good leadership and multi-tasking capabilities as well as the ability to work independently without the need for close supervision.
- Experienced in contract and vendor management.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to pitch ideas and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Team player with strong organization and people handling skills.
Job description:
- The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the implementation, operation and maintenance of application infrastructure services that meet application requirements and business needs, and is aligned to Government's policies, standards and procedures.
- Engage stakeholders to translate business requirement into application infrastructure design and services to meet the intended availability, capacity, resiliency, security and continuity requirements
- Forecast budget needed to support the project initiatives and maintenance contracts
- Work with service providers to design, develop, deploy and configure IT application infrastructure projects to meet confidentiality, availability and data integrity needs
- Ensure Agency's Technical Architecture and application infrastructure are in compliance with IM8 and Agency's IT Policies and Standards
- Manage day-to-day delivery and support of application infrastructure services and
- Collaborate with other government agencies and central services teams to facilitate and deliver government-wide application services.
